Ist eine Kaution erforderlich?
Yes. A 50% deposit per guest confirms your booking. The remaining balance, plus the Marine Park Fee and any instructional course and rental equipment requests is due six weeks before departure. Extras added during the trip (additional lessons or rentals, merchandise, massage, staff tips) are paid in cash, in euros or US dollars, on the final day of the kite safari.
How many guests are on each kite safari?
Every kite safari is limited to 26 guests, to keep our service and style at their best on our 60-meter yacht, DRAGON.
How do I get to the yacht?
Fly into Hurghada (HRG). We pick you up at the airport, and within about 15 minutes you're aboard DRAGON with a drink in hand. Our kite safaris run Saturday to Saturday.
Can beginners come on a Dragonfly Kite Safari?
Absolutely! Our Introductory Course, taught by IKO-certified instructors, introduces you to kitesurfing safely and efficiently. And every spot we ride during a Dragonfly kite safari is ideal for learning: waist-deep, warm water, sandy bottoms, and wide-open space.
Can non-kiters come on a Dragonfly Kite Safari?
Definitely! Everyone is welcome! We understand that not everyone in your group or family might be a kiteboarder. For non-kiters, there are plenty of activities to enjoy each day such as snorkeling, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, relaxing on the beach, or lounging on the yacht.
Was ist, wenn Sie alleine unterwegs sind?
All rooms and rates are based on double occupancy. If you're traveling solo, we'll pair you with another guest of the same gender in a two-bed room. Want your own space? No problem: single-occupancy rooms are available on a limited basis for an upgrade fee (1,500€).

Absolutely. We proudly welcome everyone on our kite safaris. Each one is a weeklong celebration of happiness and inclusivity for everyone, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, or gender identity.

Yes. Our Duotone rental equipment is in high demand during the kite safaris, so we strongly recommend reserving it well in advance. Pre-booked weekly rentals are prioritized over daily requests.
Ist Leihausrüstung in einer Unterrichtsstunde enthalten?
Yes, Introductory and Foiling courses include all necessary equipment. Once your course is over, if you'd like to keep using the equipment, standard rental rates apply.

Yes, of course! Choose your own dates and book the whole yacht for a private event or charter, for groups of up to 28 people of all ages and abilities. We'll arrange everything for you and your group. Contact us by clicking here and we can discuss the details.
Was ist, wenn Sie Vegetarier, Veganer, Zöliakie-Patient sind oder andere Ernährungseinschränkungen oder Allergien haben?
Given enough notice before your trip, our chef can plan ahead and deliciously adjust the menu for your dietary needs or allergies.
Kann man seinen eigenen Alkohol mit auf die Kite-Safari nehmen?
Beer and wine are included. If you'd like spirits (vodka, rum, whiskey, etc.), you can buy them at airport duty free and bring them aboard, with no corkage fee.
Are drugs allowed?
No. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on our kite safaris. Any guest found in possession of, or under the influence of, illegal drugs will be removed from the kite safari immediately and permanently, at their own expense, with no refund.
Can I smoke onboard?
Smoking is allowed only in the outside areas of the yacht. We ask guests who smoke to be respectful of those who don't and keep their distance. Any guest found smoking inside the yacht will be charged a 500€ cleaning fee.
What if you are arriving early or departing late?
There is amazing kiting in nearby El Gouna, and we can easily arrange everything for you, including private transportation and hotel recommendations, personalized to your schedule and budget. Send us your specific travel dates and we’ll develop a customized travel plan for you.
Was ist, wenn es keinen Wind gibt?
From May to October, our kite safari season, the islands north of Hurghada have historically seen kiteable wind on about 80% of days, usually 18 to 25 knots. Most weeks are non-stop wind, but in the rare case of a no-wind day, we keep everyone on the water and entertained with wakeboarding, wake foiling, paddleboarding, and snorkeling. What if there are border closures or visa restrictions due to force majeures?
If Egypt closes its borders or airports, or stops issuing tourist visas, because of a pandemic, conflict, or other force majeure during the month of your kite safari, and we have to cancel your trip as a result, your payments will be returned in full immediately.

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way. Here's our change and cancellation policy, and we always try to be as accommodating as possible when last-minute extenuating circumstances arise:
120 days or more before departure: free changes or cancellation (subject to availability)
119 to 61 days: 50% fee per person
60 to 30 days: 80% fee per person
Less than 30 days: 100% fee per person
